What did 3/4th of iPhone buyers do with their iPhone? Here is a quote that came out of "IPhone outsells smartphones in July: "A quarter of those who bought an iPhone switched to operator AT&T (T.N), which has an exclusive service agreement for the iPhone in the United States." If that's the case, what did the rest of the iPhone buyers do with their iPhone? Chieh Cheng Maybe 3/4th were already AT&T customers? Or maybe they just wanted a touch screen iPod (like the one Apple has just announced tonight). Since both my cell phone and my iPod are getting old, I guess I'll replace both of them with an iPhone. By the way, thanks for the link to my blog, Chieh ! I'll try to post in both French and English from now on. ;) Ambroise Make sense. So how can you use the iPhone in France? You guys don't have AT&T service right? Or are you going to perform this hack? Chieh Cheng There has been no official statement, but newspapers say it will be offered by Orange in France, which by chance is my current cell phone company. It will be available by the end of the year. So, no hack required. It's a shame the iPhone doesn't support 3G (UMTS), as it is the standard here in Europe and it is faster than EDGE (GPRS). Ambroise
