Snugli Front and Back Pack Soft CarrierOur baby girl, an 1 and 1/2 month old infant, loves to sleep face down on my chest. She folds her arms and legs like a little koala bear sleeping on a tree. So one night, while she was sleeping on my chest, I reached over the arm of our living room sofa and pulled out the Linux notebook computer I hid back there. I booted it up and used it on my laps while our daughter slept on my chest. That's when I started thinking about those backpacks that I seen other parents carry their kids in. I thought maybe I can find one for the chest so that I can have her sleep in the pack while I do work around the house. So at the next opportunity at Babies "R" Us, my wife and I picked up the Snugli Front and Back Pack Soft Carrier made by the Evenflo Company. This pack is not too pricey and allows you to carry the baby on your chest or on your back. The baby can face front or back as well, making it very versatile. The carrier is for babies between 7 and 26 lbs. After getting home with the pack, I found my baby wanting to sleep on my chest again. So I tucked her into the pack and wore it on my chest. I noticed with such a small infant, my baby is about 9 lbs., when you stand up, the baby is cradled against the pack, far from the chest. Without touching my chest, my baby felt uncomfortable and started crying. I ended up taking her out of the pack. I'll have to try again in the future and see if it's possible to use it to cradle her on my chest. Right now it's not looking that promising. At least the pack will be more useful walking trips when my baby grows bigger. Chieh Cheng
