A Little Too Much Automation?Being the owner of several web sites, I get spam emails all time time from people who want to help put my web site on top positions at any given search engine. But while sorting through my spam boxes, I saw a "Is your website www.gmail.com offline, or why can't I find it on Yahoo?" subject. "Wow," I thought, "did I just become the owner of Gmail or are they just trying to get my attention?" If it is the latter, it worked. Tempted, I opened the message . . . Your website (www.gmail.com) on top positions on Google, Yahoo and MSN search! I'm quite speechless to find www.gmail.com littered throughout this spam message. And to think Gmail actually need these "search engine marketing experts". You'd figure that Gmail is on all of the search engines by now.
