Not All Stocks Supports DRIPI have recently learned that not all stocks has a Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRIP). And it is not obvious at the point of purchase which company support DRIP and which don't. Question is, how do you determine if a company's stock supports DRIP? Chieh Cheng I found this list: Chieh Cheng The above premise I got from E-Trade when I pointed out to them that I couldn't enroll one of my stocks into DRIP. The E-Trade broker, on the phone, claimed that is because the stock in question doesn't offer DRIP. Today, I learned that their premise is full of crap. About a month ago, the stock in question suddenly appeared in my DRIP selection screen. Curious I enrolled it in DRIP to see if E-Trade's DRIP enrollment system was flaky. Last Friday, the stock paid dividend. Today, I noticed that new shares were put into my account. I suspected there is glitches in E-Trade's DRIP enrollment system. So now I am concluding that it's best not to believe everything that E-Trade representatives tell you. With the stock market, like everything else, you'll have to learn it for yourself. Chieh Cheng
