Coffee Jello

Last week, my mom's friend invited us to her house for bar-be-que. The most memorable desert that night was coffee jello with creamer (see top photo below). You had to understand that I don't drink coffee at all. So when I said that coffee jello is really good, I really meant it. This past week, I had been pestering my wife to make it for me when we get back home.

Tonight, while shopping at the Okuwa supermarket in Hirao, Japan, I actually saw and bought commercialized version of the coffee jello (see bottom photo below). Although it said Coffee Jelly on the package, it was actually gelatin. The commercialized version was softer and not as strong as the one made by my mom's friend. Therefore, I continued to pester my wife.
